Have you ever bought stuff that you know is not from a good scource. I constantly get people comming to my door selling anything from ciggies and booze to jewellery, televisions and perfume at prices that mean they couldnt have come by them honestly- and yes- there were times I bought. I never bought anything that could have come from someones personal belongings but have bought ciggies and perfume in the past that I know were dodgy as money was tight. I wouldnt do it now though as I feel if there were no customers for thiefs to sell to there would be no thiefs but at the same time I understand what its like to need something and have it offered at a price you can afford. Would yu buy dodgy goods if you needed something and it was offered at a knock down price?

No one ever knocks at my door with any goods for sale! Apart from the odd traveller with bits of carpet and as my floors are all wood I am not interested. To be honest, if someone was coming to my door selling goods that I wanted and liked and were brand new and a good price I might be tempted! Is this terrible. Now if I had an inking that they were from someone's personal possessions there is no way on Gods green Earth I would consider buying them, no matter how tempting. But if they looked brand new and could possibly have come from a warehouse - maybe!! But fortunately as nobody calls I don't have to wrestle with my conscience : )

No this is not something I have ever done, and won't do. although most of the time these people are selling dodgy goods, there is also the possibility that they are legitimate, and imperfect, or else they could be old stock which some manufacturers try to get rid of cheaply. I agree that I there were no customers, then thieves would not be able to sell the stolen goods.

No I haven't because buying them encourages the people to continue their bad habit. Though I think it's fair to sell something that you own which you don't want to use anymore for a lower price.
