Why do people get so bold in private chat rooms ?

People get so bold in private chats because they know nobody else but the people they are talking to will know what they're saying. By doing this, if they say something offending they'll have less people that will be on their case. In a way it shows cowardness.

people like to go private chat they feel they can talk to close friends freely
