Earache Help

Well, i got sick a couple of days ago (Sunday) and today i saw the doctor. She told me i have a Head Cold. Now i feel good, except i have an earache! I had one earlier, but it wasn't this bad (it was also the other ear)(?) and pain relievers helped it. I took 6 pills of 160 mg of accedeamedaphin (my best shot at it...) kids pain relievers because my doctor told me to take 1000mg, but its not helping!
Anyone have any good ear ache tips? I tried wearing a winter hat but it didn't really help, just made my head itch. Also, it hurts when i burp, which is a lot for some reason. Any tips?

This might sound silly but a friend of mine suffers from ear infections almost constantly. Her doctor told her she should try putting peroxide in her ear. Apparently it feels really odd but if there is an infection there, it will foam up but it will clear it up as well. Sorry to hear you are under the weather, hope you are feeling better soon.

Yeah... my aunt does that, but shes kinda crazy... maybe i'll consider it, but yeah, it would probably feel weird and pouring stuff in my ear is kinda so-so with me...

You may not have an infection, but just need to ear to drain. You should try taking some medicine to help dry your head out. Another thing you can do besides peroxide is getting the over the counter ear wax medicine. You may just have a build of wax from medicine you were taking during your head cold.
