Water intoxication occurs when overdrinking dilutes the sodium in the bloodstream, causing the brain to swell and push against the skull. It can lead to nausea, vomitin, weakness and seizures. I never knew this.....I read it recently on some site. Has anyone heard that this can happen?

Are you sure about this? I've always been told that I should lots of water (1l per day at least) even though I prefer drinking juices than water itself but I never heard of such thing.

The problem with drinking too much water is that you need to keep up your salt levels. If you drink tons of water and consume no salt your organs basicly drown. If you consume salt while you drink a lot of water, it will balance out. Water is very good for you and if you do not consume enough you can get very sick, but if you consume too much with impropper salt intake, then you can get even sicker and even die, rather fast too!
