Making movies about war during a war

What do you think about directors like Clint Eastwood and others making movies like Letters from Iwo Jima, Flags of Our Fathers and Jar head when we are at war? Some say it is inappropriate, I on the other hand think these movies make me think and continue to have a conscience and question things. What are your thoughts?

I think it helps to make people aware of what things are really like during war. It gives them a chance to see how proud our service members are and how hard they work. I hope that it gives them a chance to see things from a different point of view.
