being friends with your x husband

does anyone else believe that being friends with your x husband is a good ideal especially when there are children involved

i try to be civil with my ex but as soon as i am too nice to him he just keeps taking and taking and i get nothing in return, not even a thank you. he was this way in our marriage too. So now i am just civil with him for my son.

I do try to be friends with my x it is hard because he wants to get me back and I keep telling him that there is no way but I will try to reamin friends for my our son and granddaughters sake

It was the X-wife in my case. Yes, we have been friends for 16 years after the divorce. It has been better on the kids since they went through enough with the actual divorce. I have no reason not to be friendly with my x-wife. She remarried and I am still single. That is all in the past.
