how do you get into "todays top discussions"?

i was just curious i saw that in the top bar and i was wondering what makes a discussion "todays top discussion" any ideas? not that it is something that i have to earn but i was just wondering on how that was figured out. thanks

Only one time one of my discussions was there at "today's top discussions" .. It just happened to get many responses soon after i posted it, don't know why or how to do it again .. I guess i was just lucky that a few people started to respond and raised it up so it got more and more responses and had something like 140+ responses in a day .. as I said i was just lucky and it can happen to anyone I guess if the topic is good and just happens that many people see it when it first was posted you will be there too . :)
