I can say I'm happily married for 12 years and the best we do is that we open up communication and never build a wall between us specially we neve let the sun down on our misunderstanding. The secret to a happy marriage is first and foremost communication. IF you cannot communicate then you will end up with serious problems. Along with communicating you must trust and be honest with each other. When trust is lost, problems are not far behind. I also think it is important for each person to have their own space and a part of life that is just theirs. When you spend too much time together it can cause problems. You need to have an identity that is yours alone so you don't fell that you get lost in the relationship.
