why are we here on hearth

Some times I ask my self this question and i get a lot of answers coming to me but can anyone tell me why are we here? and where do we go from here?...If we are going to die anyways then why do we have to waste our time to suffer and just finish some day...i mean I just don't understand the whole deal.We are born one day grow up work hard to live the the die. For what???

well this is the thought that leads to religiousness, why dont etheists get this? that Lord sent us to this earth to test us by this short test which will result in a never ending afterlife in which one will get what he did here. Our basic purpose is to follow his orders thats it and sadly we dont do that very well, may Allah forgive us
