I love spades! i love playing spades all the time just as much as blogging. http://www.myleague.com/spadeology is the spades league i own that is free (no hidden junk for me-- just the good feeling of people wanting to play with us) and we play in yahoo.

It doesn't pay, but the addictive quality is the 'bux' you win. You win online bux which can be redeemed for prizes, but no one really redeems them as they are too addicted to spades to care. I think the appeal factor is everyone's sense of wanting to win, lol. Everyone wants to win the tournament and wants to have a higher rating and rank. It's the competitiveness of it all. And of course, meeting good people along the way.

ours is a smaller league, but there are other larger leagues on www.myleague.com but sometimes the larger leagues aren't always the better ones.
