big plus gabs thank you. Its getting worse, much as though i hate the idea of building new prisons, until we change the ways we deal with crime, i see no alternative

There was another one that was spared being put in prison because he was very short, like about 5' or so and the judge feared he would be picked on!!!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! He molested a child! He was a predator!!!!! We CARE if he gets picked on?!!!!!! I hope the idiot preys upon the judges children, perhaps then she will rethink her idea of the poor defenseless little man!

you really need to avoid typing in capitals . This man actually walked free because a judge said there was no room for him in prison, i do wonder if the case was not been used by the judiciary to make a political point against the home secretary. Judges do not like being told what to do by polititions, well not labour ones anyway.

That is so crazy :( I keep hearing things too about how our jails are so full that all kinds of criminals are going free. Or else they are being put in jail only for short periods of time, for crimes where their punishment should really be a lot more severe. This is just so sad to me. I mean, child molestation is one of the worst crimes possible. I think that people who do that kind of thing should be locked away pretty much indefinitely while they are given counselling to try to help them to get past whatever it is in their mind that causes them to do such a thing, if that is even possible. They shouldn't really be let back into society if it can't be proven that they are mentally more stable. The same goes for rapists.

i agree with you and this is all the more alarming because the crime is so appauling. Never in the worst times did i imagine that we would be letting these people walk free, never

my God... that was really a bad situation. i think your country has to build a new prison ward to accomodate those law breakers. because of that, many people will think that it's just ok to commit a crime, because they won't be accomodated in ail, because it's full.
i'm worrying about other childre who might get molested.
