i do! with the first one i started when she was 3 months old, she liked it very much. right now i have two kids, but that is not easy to combine, i still go with the oldest and she likes to play in the water! about two weeks she is going to pre-school so i can go with the youngest one! i think it is a good idea because now she likes the water and the shower, she is not afraid! do you do the same as i?

I was an excellent swimmer in my school days and won many awards. I wish now that I took my kids swimming when they were babies, but considered myself too fat to be seen in bathers at a public pool. I have taken my kids to swimming lessons when they turned 5 and they also have swimming lessons through the school for one week per year. They are both confident in the pool and at the beach, but I still do regret not taking them when they were babies.

don't regret! you had a good reason for yourself not to go!i think you did other nice things with your kids what other parents didn't do! your kids can swim now, and maybe one day they win awards too!

Baby swimming to her mother! - Isn't she a cutie! I love seeing babies swim underwater!
My girls both started swimming when they were about 6 months old. I used to take them to the local Y. Luckily, mine are 4 years apart, so the older one was in a different class by the time the younger one was ready to go swimming! Then when the youngest was 8 months, we bought a house with a pool. My kids have been fish every since!

yeah kids love water! here at the local they do little watergames and sing songs! but the 2,5 years old one doesn't like that anymore so she just plays by herself with some other kids! i can take just one with me! and as i told to other mylotters our garden is to small for a pool! i use a big bucket!

I love to take my son swimming, he has been around a pool every since he was little, since his father's parents have their own pool. he has no fear of the watter. he will just jump in even if he does not have floaties on. this scares me sometimes, but his dad says he is good when he oes swimming at his grandparents house because he knows that he can go in the pool without his floaties on.

my oldest one didn't want to wear floaties, but i tried it every week and now she let them on her arms! here in the Netherlands most off the people don't have a swimmingpool! we only have a garden about 44m2! and i don't want one! i mean i have two small children to take care off, and i would be scared with a swimmingpool because i don't have eyes on my back!

I started taking my son swimming last summer. He would have been around 7 months old. I was going to take him sooner but I was afraid of the clorine so we waited to use the beach. Now, it is winter I take him to parent and tot swimming quite often. The clorine doesn't seem to bother him. We go once or twice a week. He just loves the water. He is 14.5 months old now.
