I am very curious as to the changing or elastic definitions that people from all over the world and various age or racial groups describe/define the above words. In order to have a clear picture though I will need your age range(within 10 years, i.e. 18-28 or 29-38 etcetera) also your general locale(i.e. Coachella Valley,Inland Empire, or Southern California are all general descriptions of the geographical area in which I reside.) and whether or not you have any peers/contemporaries/companions who fit your given description. As usual I will of course go first: 1. associate-a person who enters my sphere of existence upon occasion but due to personality issues or past historical behavior you would not go out socially to hang out with them and would have to be under the impression that they were a friend of someone else in your social grouping for you to agree to them being included in an outing. Have/Have not-have more of these people than I need or want! 2. friend-someone with whom you share a history of intepersonal interactions and ordinarily multiple personality traits that are similar or that mesh well in contast to one another. These people are "proven", meaning that they have shown themselves to be compasionate, empathetic, understanding, and accepting of you exactly as you are. NOTE: These people are difficult to find sometimes but are both worth the efforts invested in developing and nurturing the relationship into perpetuity. Have/Have not-have two or three tight friends, all of whom are male (although there are two good female prospects applying for admittance to the inner circle) 3. Found family-these people are the friends who have through long and often varied friendship are like family with the exception that these people you choose because you actually like them. Unlike the blood relatives that for the most part you love, hate, endure, or can't stand and they know it, whom you inherited at birth NOTE: very few if any of the people in this group will ever be friends of yours. Have/have not- I have extremely few of these people. In fact I can think of one off the top of my head. 4. One of the five people you want to meet in heaven- (def self explanitory) have/Have not-have 1 age 32 locale IE of So California
