Laptop LCD to Desktop Video Card

If your laptop has a VGA input then you can use any vga output from any desktop computer. What you need is a vga connector. But I have not seen a laptop with vga in interface. What I have seen so far are the ones with vga output where you can connect projectors and other output devices...Anyways, what your idea of streaming the destop to a laptop, I mean what's your purpose...
