If yes, What you do for repairs? Do you think it has a vintage value?

I have OMEGA watch was gifted to me by my uncle who is a ENT specialist in London. This watch was her personal watch purchased in 1955 and he presented to me in 1985. The intrinsic value of this mechanical watch is $500. It is working very well and once I got it overhauled at Nepal.

What makes you to think of only mechanical watches? Are they better than the ones presently available? (cell) Thanks for your interesting response.

even tho im techy and i love electronic gadgets, when i want a watch, thats it the electronic ones have loads of features that you will never use after 2 or 3 weeks, then you will just check what time is it with a mechanical you get a better machine than a chinese electronic bulk plus im old fashioned

That is really great. If it was former USSR, then the vintage value is more.

Prior to 1960's, most watches were mechanical and they were simply fantastic. There were no recurring expenses. Thanks foryour information.

Mechnical as in analogue or generally the older style watchers? I probably do have one knocking about somewhere. I usually don't wear watches though.

I still have one. It was my Great Grandfathers watch and it has been passed down to me. It is in th efamily more for sentimental value then for the actual cash value of it.

Well, I don't have one but my father has one which isn't used much. I think it is called Pierre Sandoz or something, not sure. Vintage value, once again, I'm in the dark. Good day to you, bye.

Giraffe at Mysore zoo - Giraffes at Mysore zoo, photographed at zoo.
Must be swiss watch. In those days, Swiss was well known was watches. Even today the best watch is from Switzerland. Probably you were not born, in 1960's, HMT watch factory started manufacturing watches in collaboration with Citizen. Till 1995, HMT watches were in great demand and people used to pay premium on the watches. Later on TITAN came, many other companies entered Indian market, the demand for HMT fell. The factory was also closed. Hope you have finished the exams. Why you are not downloading the pictures?
