Are you allergic to anything?

I am allergic to bee stings, sulfur drugs and just recently had a minor episode with my chemo treatments. Are you allergic to anything? Food, pollen, chemicals, etc. What happens when you come into contact with them? How did you find out you were allergic?

I'm allergic to bee and ant stings, sulfa meds, and iodine. Airborne I'm allergic to several flowers like gardenias and roses. I'm also allergic to feathers; on or off the bird. The sulfa and the iodine are the two worst because they are often hidden in other things including other medications. Now not all who are allergic to sulfa are alergic to things like sulfates and sulfides but I am. Those are hidden in many other medications, not to mention body soaps and shampoos and even laundry soap. I have to watch so much it's frustrating.

I'm allergic to bug bites, in general. Bees, wasps, hornets, and even misquitos. Thankfully, misquito bites won't kill me, but the bite swells up and looks more like a golfball sized injury than a simple bite from a harmless bug. Bees, wasps and hornets can kill me, however. Also almonds, which close off my airway. The last time was from a few spoonfuls of ice cream that contained almond extract ... so I stay away from it completely now, lol. Oh yes ... and housework. Highly allergic. *grin*

I am allergic to wool. If I wear it, my arms will break out in a rash which is very itchy and usually takes a couple of days to go away. I am also allergic to codeine. I can sometimes take maybe one pill that has codeine in it and it has no adverse effect on me, however, the instant I take the second pill that has codeine, I end up with a migraine. I don't remember how I found this out, I assume it was through a prescription.
