Whats your opinion of Reality TV shows

I am really sick of reality TV shows, it started with the likes of big brother, pop idol, x-factor, love island, and then has branched out into such obscure rubbish as strictly come dancing, dancing on ice, how to solve a problem like maria etc... etc... what next big brother for pets? I think reality TV has had its day and its time to put decent drama and comedy back on our TV sets. Whats your opinion on Reality tv shows?

You know, in the beginning I really enjoyed the reality shows, especially Survivor, but there are now so many, and most of them are just plain awful. We seem to be seeing a resurgence in good quality TV though with shows like Lost, Heroes, 24 etc.

I'm in total agreement with you, but I think that we are going to actually be seeing more and more reality TV in the years t come. I don't understand why, but the general public seems to love these shows. I often feel like I'm the only one who doesn't watch them; often people will be talking about the latest show, and I've never even heard about it. I'm with you- these shows are a waste of time. Bring on the quality drama shows and some decent comedy, and I'll be happy!
