No I don't think temp is rising because of global warming. There was growing grass on antarctica once, there was an ice age. The temperature of the earth is like a sinus wave. Actually, if you look at the average temperature of the earth on the last 250million years, it's still too cold, so it's good that the earth's warming up! Some say only 4% of the rise of the temperature is coming from us (humans), 25% from the earth and 71% from the radiation of the sun and the milky way. Because we are currently almost in perfect alignment with the core of the milky way, we encounter severe storms, temperature rises and drops etc... When we have reached this point (in december 2012) the earth magnetic field will shift (north becomes south and vice versa) and the earth stops spinning for 3 days. 3 days of darkness (or light if you're on the other side of the earth). Temperature will rise about 20 degrees then, so no. I don't think it's global warming

wow thank you for geographic info but is that true the world is going to stop spinning for three days ? if it was then we are going to die on that day, because the earth will lose its gravitational force . i hope this is not going to happen to us. it may happen in the future

it's already happening. The electromagnetic field has decreased with 50% already during the last 200 years, and 10% of that is in the last 10 years! Gravitation is a function of mass. The formula is Fg = G*((M1*M2)/r²) G=something small.. 6,1*10^-11 or something M1=the mass of the earth r²=radius of the earth M2=the mass of the object On earth the gravitational force is 9.81*M2. As you see, it has NOTHING to do with the electromagnetic field. Funny thing is that everything has gravity. A chair attracts a table, but because of the G factor, this force is very small...

I believe the consensus is that it has risen around .02 degrees celsius in the past century, which is pretty inconsequential. The estimate was that it was going to be 2 degrees celsius, and all the doomsday predictions were based on that.
