Faux Friends

I can't stand it when people call themselves your "friend" yet they put unreal expectations and demands on you. To me, that isn't friendship. You should not expect things from others in your life. Recently I've had friends put all kinds of pressure on me to "fix" their lives. I'm not a psychiatrist, I am not a therapist. I am just a friend. I can't fix people's problems, but I can offer advice. Who do so many people twist the idea of friendship? Why isn't being there and sharing moments together enough? Why do people expect friends to act and be a certain way? I would appreciate your thoughts.
