Do You Think Your Cooking Skills Are Contest Worthy?

If so why are you hiding them from the world? There are some incredible purses and prizes to be won and all skill levels can participate in cooking and recipe contests throughout the year. Think about it... you love to cook or have to cook and make it at least reasonably good, you sometimes spend hours getting it right and even hit a "HOME RUN", occasionally when friends and family swoon and heap praises upon you... then, you file the recipe somewhere in your head and forget about it 'til next time... BORING! Why on Earth would you go through all that, and let your excellence be unknown and perhaps, unrewarded? Some of the prizes of cooking contests can be staggering, like scholarships to world-class cooking schools, trips and cruises, cars and other vehicles, homes and kitchen make-overs, free groceries for life, big money like $100,000 for a chicken dish or $50,000 for a hamburger!!! I've just entered a recipe contest for a certain brand of mussels the other day, and it has a cash prize slightly north of a years salary plus a mystery prize package. My goal of entering at least 13 high value contests, plus dozens of smaller ones each year helps me keep my powers "fresh" and I've never enjoyed cooking or creating recipes more! Lots of my friends are benefitting from the results of my "Talent Workouts" and loving me more and more, and that's a good thing! :) So what about you my fellow, "Kitchen Angels", "Hash Slingers" and "Meal Mavens"... Do you think that your talent is worthy of a contest? Or, do you think you think the opposite? Are you shy about your skills or are you ready to rock and roll? Either way the link below is a contest resource and it's absolutely free. NO, it's not an affiliate link, so I don't make any money for telling you about the good news! Why am I sharing this with potential competition that could blow my chances of winning out of the water??? Because that what good cooks do, my friend! We are made that way! http://www.foodreference.com/html/recipecontests.html

I cook very well, but I don't think worth a contest, as I have no desire to enter into any time of food contest. I do bake some awesome things, but it will be kept in my home just for pleasure.

I love to cook and bake but I am more a country type cook. The kind that cooks like my Grandma did. That is what I enjoy. I dont think others would enjoy this type of cooking. They seem to want fancy dishes these days. I am going to check out the link though. Thanks for sharing.
