Commercial Baby Food = Picky Eater?

I've heard people telling me that if we give our kids/babies commercial baby food or bottled baby foods, they grow up to be picky eaters? When my now 2-year old daughter started taking solids, I cooked her meals, but there came a time that I had to introduce other foods, which I cannot cook, so I ended up buying some bottled baby foods. I dont know if that's the cause, but my daugter is kind of a picky eater now. Is it true that bottled baby food makes a kid a picky eater?

Both my brother and I had commercial baby foods. When I was young, my grandmother was active in raising me and she fed me all kind of different things that she cooked. I am not a picky eater, but my brother is. I don't think this has anything to do with him eat commercial baby foods when he was young. I think this has more to do with my Mom and Grandmother not trying new foods with him when he was younger.

Thanks so much. I'm trying my best to try to introduce other foods to my daughter so that she'll learn to eat new types of food. :)

I gave my kids commercial baby food on rare occasions only and they turned out fine. I think all kids go through a "picky phase" where it seems like they will only eat a few different foods. Don't worry about it, it will pass.
