The othe day, shywolf started a discussion about bizarre/crazy sports. It's a pity that I only found this last night, but it seems *guinea pig racing* has been around for quite a while. It's popular enough that fanart has even been created for it. XD Click and see the oddity that is guinea pig racing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3epISkxYks

Guinea pigs make great pets and they very rarely bite. They are inexpensive and have lovable personalities. Guinea Pigs can live 8 to 10 years and are easy to house and feed. They also tend to be hardy little animals and don't contract diseases very easily. That is a really cute video. I love the hurdler...hehe
I had a guinea pig, Moe that I rescued. I gave him to a little boy that had to return his to the pet shop because it was sick.

Aw, Catkin, it is so nice to get a mention here in your topic! *laugh* You are too sweet. And I've heard of guinea pig racing before. In fact, I've heard all just about all kinds of races that you can imagine. Pig races, bug races.. I've even seen snail and slug races, if you can imagine. The snail race, let's just say that it didn't get much of anywhere, lol!! *laugh* Anyway, pretty much anything that moves has probably been put into some type of a race at some point. I wouldn't be surprised, anyway, to hear that even the most exotic animals had been raced in some form. I appreciate your Youtube link, and would look at it if I werent stuck on a dialup connection for the day because of our cable modem going out! Oh well! *laugh*
