What is bluetooth and how would it benefit someone. I just had a brother ask me if I had one, and I told him I don't think so. His responce; you are so backwards. More like not up to date. I have heard about them but I realy do not know much. How much do they cost and how long to they last. What do they do?

I have bluetooth as it is automatically built in my mobile phone. Well, in case you are wondering I have N70. its nokia product. Bluetooh is a software to connect one thing to another. For example computer-mobile phone or mobile phone-mobile phone without the need of any cables. so, if mobile-mobile. If you wanna send picture, usually you have to have mms to send it which is expensive, now you can send any amount of pictures, songs, and video from one to another without any cost but just use bluetooth. I forgot but I think there is a limit of the range from one mobile to another and its not much. its like couple of meters or something. If you know infrared, then its an advanced version of it as you dont have to stick the mobile phone one to anohter. and its easier to use. It is a program that most new mobile phone have and some computers have. it is very simple as you do not need any cable for using it.

Bluetooth is a type of wireless technology that transmits over a short distance. You see people with wireless headsets connected to their ears; these are Bluetooth devices that transmit data to and from the part of the cell phone with the keypad, etc. Most laptops have Bluetooth built in these days, and some desktops might have it too.
