I am throwing a baby shower for my friend and want to play some really fun games. What are your favorite baby shower games?

When i was in college my friends threw me a baby shower and we all didn't have much money so i made up some games. the funniest one was pin the embilical cord on the baby. i printed a picture of a baby and made a cord for it and it was just like pin the tail on the donkey. it was funny.

see how many pegs you can pick up with one hand quickly in a certain time, great fun and very relevant too.

My niece walked through the room at her baby shower with all kinds of baby things pinned to her clothes and sticking out of her pockets. All of us oldertimers knew what was coming and tried to remember everything -- diaper, rattle, bottle, pack of wipes, etc -- thinking we would have an edge over everyone else. Sure enough, the hostess handed out paper and pencil and began to ask questions like what color is her dress? what kind of earrings is she wearing? describe her shoes (trick question, she was barefoot.) Nothing about the baby stuff we all memorized. Give everyone a safety pin or diaper pin. Throughout the shower, if someone says a certain word such as diaper or baby, anyone else can ask for their pin. If they have already won one from someone else, they have to give them all up. At the end of the party, the one with the most pins wins. My favorite is to write out the second verse to favorite nursery rhymes and see if anyone can guess them. For example, then up Jack got and home did trot as fast as he could caper and went to bed to mend his head with vinegar and paper.

If you are going to give a door prize, a very cute way to do it is to fold small white fabric pieces or white napkins into little diapers and safety pin them. Into one of the diapers place an unwrapped, flattened hershey's kiss. As guests arrive, give each guest a diaper. At some point have all the folks unpin their diapers. Whomever has the dirty diaper wins the doorprize!! The funniest thing I have participated in at a baby shower was where they had the new mom start learning how hard it was going to be to multitask! They had a babydoll that she had to hold (it was swaddeled in a blanket), a cell phone and a basket of laundry. Two guests held up a 'clothesline' while the new mom had to hold the baby, talk on the cell phone (another guest actually called the phone and the new mom had to talk to her) and hang the laundry with clothes pins! We were in stitches! You could substitute any chore besides hanging out clothes. We did that chore because we knew she was accustomed to hanging her laundry outdoors. Whatever you choose, have fun! Baby showers are so much fun!

We played the "Guess what this is" game, where the hostess (or pregnant mother) blind folded people and had them taste baby foods, and people had to guess what they were. It was great to see people's faces when you were done and they were yet to go.
