not only in relationships with boyfriends/girlfriends, but in general. if you're shopping, say with a friend, and she is given a bigger discount than yours, will you ask for a bigger discount as well? would you feel bad that someone favoured someone else over you?

No I'm not the jealous type at all. If that happened to me , I would be happy for my friend and glad she got to save herself some money. It's nice to see nice things happen to others. The way I see it, what goes around, comes around. My turn will come eventually, just like everyone else.

When I was in my first romantic relationship, I admit that I was a jealous type of person. I wanted my partner's attention to be focused on me alone. After we broke up several years ago, many things changed. In the process & over time, I learned that sometimes being overly jealous of one person could hurt you badly or someone else. Now, I am not so sensitive and insecure of other people and other's belongings. Often, it's not a healthy thing to do. Jealousy is somehow related to envy; and these two, I consider, are green-eyed monsters.
