Can you place other birds with a sun Conure. He is very tame and loves to look at my doves and gets on their cage and talk to them. The doves don't seem to mind him much, but I don't know I should place them together. I have HUGE cage (i inherited the bird and cage around christmas). What do you think?

In general it is not a good idea to mix species of birds. Most of the time they will not get along - even if they are raised together. Before even thinking about doing this, I would talk to the Avian Vet in your area. Even if they okay it, all birds should be brought in for a check up to ensure that there are no diseases they could pass to each other that could be fatal.

I do not see why not since it sounds like they are getting along just fine. Give it a try and see what happens.

You can put birds in together as long as they get along and they are both healthy. However, it's not a good idea if you want the birds to be friendly and bond with you. Once you have 2 or more birds together in the same cage, they will bond with each other, and will care less about you. Seperate cages and playing togther is the best situation for everyone..
