microwave cooking

Can anyone tell me how long should I cook say, a cake in the mivrowave oven when the recipe's instrructions are for conventional oven. Any tips please.

instructions for cooking in a microwave depneds on what time of microwave you are using. you must consider if your microwaves watts is higher or not.. higer wattage can cook fast or heats fast.

Is this cake that you want to make store bought and have directions? Or did you make it from scratch? I have seen some cakes called no bake that you can make in a microwave. But I have never made those before. I have always baked cakes in the oven. If you look at one of those cake packages at the stores that are no bake and can be done in the microwave, see the instructions for it and what type of cake dish it's in so you can do the same. thanks, friend. i'm referring to both. there are recipes i see on the internet that seems delicious, mostly desserts. they use the conventional oven. i want to try it but am hesitant because it might not be a success. thanks again. friend.
