For the past few days i have been continuously observing that people are posting topics blaming either Indians or India.... Either its about them smelling bad , Girls being aborted by pregnant women, Indians spamming, playing tricks to earn a few extra cents.....and many other topics where people would directly blame India.... I think if they wanna help they should come forward to help but as far as i perceive it,its just an act of earning a few extra cents, because people here on my lot realize there are lots of Indians and each one of them would reply.... Whats your opinion I love my country and just don't wish to hear country specific blames and secondly i personally feel if there people are so concerned they should come forward and help Dont u think the same way?? what do u feel about it??

Yes I agree with you. They should come forward to help directly. Well, as for me, I don't think Indians are bad, especially the women. I think they're beautiful and I love that red-round-thing that they put on their forehead. I also have some Indian neighbours here, and they're a good person. I think we can't just judge a country only by looking some of their citizen.

yeah...even i think the same way that people should just not judge a population of 1 billion just on the basis of 5-6 they see around them...and if they are so much concerned why don't they come forward....why don't u donate, why don't u help out??

Hi guys, relax. By saying something is not same as doing same thing. This may be their views & they have all rights to express their view. So if you feel anything bad, just enter into their discussion & ask right over there & just try to handle them. Be Indian & Live Indian. Thanks

Doesn't it happen though? People bring it up because its at least partly true. I personally have seen those discussions and agree that its true. No one is blaming India, but when its Indians doing it, its fair to say so.

People would point to the name if we were allowed to in here but it is one of the mylot rules say you can't. I have a list of names by my computer that I won't go in and respond to because they play the system and the sad thing is a lot of the people on my list were also at duno and are ones that help shut it down with what we call spamming and gaming. Why group up and milk a system until it shuts down. There's no need for it

Ya why blame only india dude... there is a lot of things going wrong with people from other countries as well as you know i wouldn't like to list some but why the heck do you post such things on specific countries even there are same things going on in many high power countries ( i wouldn't like to name)... you should straight away point twards the person you are talking about. Why bring the religion or country in between....

I am from India. It is great to know that you love your country India. But the gates should not be closed to different opinions to come in. When there is some criticism we should not blame the person but introspect.Whenever we find the criticism is not right, convey the message politely. Here we have an opportunity to convey the messages in open and we do not know where it will touch upon, need not only to the person who has critisesed. Remember that you are belonging to the ideal tradition of Spiritualism.

I never saw India or Indians being blamed but if you have seen such topics regarding Indians or India I feel this is a shame on everyone`s part who are using it as a source of money or blaming in reality. It is about discussion but discussing some ridiculous things...its such a shame on part of one`s who do it.I think these topics need to be considered by mylot administrator as well and need to be removed. If anyone has problem with somebody then they should come and talk personally.I am proud of my country and can`t listen anything wrong about India in any damn way.....

Here is a Catholic (Christian) from New Delhi (India) and the posts originated from me ie vinod_sailes. I do not see anything extraordinary about India for which I need to be proud of as you feel. Anyway I do when taking the example of the lakhs of Muslims who were butchered after Godhra and those responsible moving scot free with political patronage. I also feel proud to see the religious intolerance under the yoke of which Christian nuns were raped (2001), churches desecrated even today, priests murdered, Stanes murderer is yet to be hanged (we Christians any way pardon him) but the deed stands a ready reckoner of how Hindus treat the minorities. Ayodhya and such other examples have not been written off as History. Mind you, the earth (soil) on which you stand does not have an inscription on it as "Hindu land". The wronged are still groaning under the yoke of religious intolerance. And yea, the instances are not just random, they come in plenty.

Yes, I agree with you. I too think people are doing so because there are many people from India on mylot & they we all would definitely respond to such discussions & they they think of earning more cents. I think whenever such topics start, every Indian should mark it negatively so that he/she doesn't get any point from it.
@jaizdeep (397)

Exactly....The best way to get control of these discussions is to either mark tem negative or ignore them and if they are really hurting us very much just report them as abuse after all no one can blame us for something we haven't committed

i think you are relating this topic to the big brother scandl, or whatever u call it. ya i think it's not only indians but all developing nations that are being targeted. indians are always said to be terrorists, i can't understnd the reason for that.i'm a true patriot too and am sick of us being pointed at. anyway, happy belated republic day!!!

No dear i am not relating it to the big brother scandal i am saying this just because i feel that people are doing this just to earn money but that is not good They blame indians for doing all dirty tricks just to earn an extra cent...and they are doing th same just because they realize that at my lot the population of Indians is increasing they simply post topics which point to us so that we all reply and hence their earnings increase if they really wanna improve something give suggestions to why is it just criticism.

Yes,this is a present fashion to blame India. We think that this is a reaction of our progress in various fields. We must reply such people for their blames.

Cool buddy...You started the topic which I actually wanted to start. I didnt posted any message since last few days and was going through all these things due to which my rating also got reduced for not posting message. I am proud to be an Indian. Its not at all good to point out particularly Indian People. When people over here say Indians it means all Indians. How can they say like this? Do they and any proven statistics of results on the basis of which they say that Indians smell bad etc. etc. They forget that in their countries also such things are prevalent. In our country may be few people might fall under this category but not all Indians we are still better then others who have no culture at all. They can go to any extent when it comes to money. They forget that their countries are developed or moving ahead just because majority of great Indian minds are working for them. I am 100% sure if all of our Indian brothers and sisters working for foreign countries withdraw their jobs and businesses and come back to India it will be major set back to their economies. They are able to succeed because of us. Today you see all major areas key positions are mostly taken by Indians when it comes from Nasa to Microsoft or to Politics. Indians are their in the counsel and are member of parliament in many countries. I am proud of this but these people dont see all this. Unfotunately the worst part about whole world is we are developing ourselves by loosing our moral values. Few words I would like to say in Indian language about this to express my feeling: Shaan-E-Gul wa Gulistan Giri Jaati Hai, Asmatt-E-Dharam wa Imaan Giri Jaati Hai, Iska Nahin Gum ki Giri Sikkey ki Kimat, Afsos hai Kimat-E-Insaan Giri Jaati Hai. I have a suggestion to all Indians to stop such things on this site whenever we see any such topic give a negative rating to that topic and inform to administrator about it. Once people start getting affected with such things and they will be loosing money instead of gaining they will stop posting such topics.

Yeah I do agree with you. Enough criticizing India. And we are responsible for this situation. Just have a look at a discussion I have started where in I just asked " Do you think Average American are dumb in computer" and see the responses from American. How they are debating on it. But Indian they never dare to debate on a topic. So it is high time that we shoulod start protectoing our country from humiliation.

I would nevre say anything specifically horrible about any country. That just inflames trouble and leads to war. What I will say is that its a shame that Britain, back in the Victorian ages treated your Country like there own little holiday camp with no care or interest in your culture. I do not like posts where people blatantly suggest that one culture of girls is more beautiful than others. Yes your girls are beautiful, but so are other cultures skin colouring just as beautiful. There a beautiful, afro caribbeans, Asians, Afrikans, and English girls out there. That's all I ask that we see the inherent beauty in everyone human beings skin colouring rather than singling one out.

Well, this is from New Delhi (India) and I hold a totally different view. I have myself come out with some severe criticism of India for which I have no regrets. It is good that your country UK has kept your cool despite strong criticism of your handling Indian affairs during age old times. But those times are gone. My point is have both countries come to a compromise regarding mudslinging one by the other ? Whether Indians like it or not, I hold a totally different view on the freedom struggle. It may be that there have been some excesses here or there. But once the matter is settled and your country decided to leave the place, then the hatchet should have been buried and peace restored. But by keeping on harping on the same string is fanning the fire even when it should have been allowed to die down. I always held one point as a supreme element in the restoration of the rule of Indian sub-continent to its very citizens ie. There was a hard-fought struggle for attaining freedom and many lives may have been lost. But once it was decided to restore the rule back to the hands of Indians, the matter should have rested there and matter ended there. But, this has not happened.... why ? There are certain deficiencies which have not been taken care of by Indians as well due to which the rage against the British still simmers. Anyway, since you have yourself tried to pacify the person outraged by the remarks of others, I do not want to inflame the position and leave it at what you stated.

Be assured stuff like this happens to all races, but people tend to usually just pick up stuff related to there own race. Ignore it or Report it if its real offensive. I really wish people would just refer persons as just "people", instead of being specific and saying "Indians".

yes it does but it shouldn't be specific..make it general and none has any complains but when they are making it specific they are hurting the emotions of hundreds of them so i believer thats not good....thats should be prevented...they cannot blame the whole race just because of a few they know

Bro, I am and Indian too, and even i feel bad when some one points out to our nation... "Dil to karta hai unko ek kheech ke doon", but sometimes you have got to think in a different manner. This is a very sensitive issue. I wouldnt say much but look at it like this - most of us indians, used to blame pakistanis as terrorists but little did we realize the fact that we are judging one whole nation on the basis of few handful of people. Similarly, you can't say that the whole of the United States is wrong just because of some handful of sick people who are either very idiotic or afraid of the might of the Indians. Closing quote - India rocks and for those who think it doesn't.... go to hell.

The posts were provided by me and were done with determination and with full conviction - I repeat - full conviction of what was provided by me. To read them you may go to vinod_sailes profile and may return to vinod_sailes@hotmail.com So, keep cool lest you realize that you stand in the nadir of hell that you think others would even falteringly fall. Honestly, I have not read a single post saying bad things about indians. Maybe it was just a few posts made by some mean people. I don't think that Indian culture is bad although there are some practices that are a bit unfair to women but it's your culture so what the hell.

There are no mean people for your wishing it to be so. Posts originated from me and were the rock bottom truth. What you speak of 'unfairness to women' I have not so far touched the topic at all and I find none of it the way you provide. In fact the Women's Liberation is taking ample care of it. Otherwise, the posts I gave are available with the profile of vinod_sailes and may revert to vinod_sailes@hotmail.com, if need be.

Yes man you are so correct and we do need to stop this. Mylot is a public community and we should not start or generate country specific hatred or communalism or racialism or religion specific hatred... point out the person instead of their religion, country or community or race. This breeding of hatred should be stopped and mylot must give us ways to stop and report such posts and posters who breed hatred.

well said. i know this is really really bad blaming or pointing any one specialy the complete country. if they have any problem with indians why do they discuss about them. they can just keep it with themselves. they dont understand that they have the same situation in there own country. the only problem is we are not open to certain things and thats the reason it gets explored. whereas in other countries everything is exposed so they dont have anything to discuss about. thats the reason they pull up other countries name like India. one thing everything should understand that BEFORE LOOKING INTO OTHERS MATTER WHY DONT THEY TAKE CARE OF THERE OWN MATTERS. I love my country and same like you i cannt stand this, any one talking about or pointing my country. so please lets have humanity instead of fighting for whats good and whats bad. no one is perfect. if we indian have some problems dont forget that your country is no more less then it.
