I have been told by my sister there is a cereal called Kashi out there that is supposed to be good for you... have you heard of this or know other healthy cereals to eat in the morning?

The Kashi 7 whole grain cereals aren't very tasty. Some of the others like GoLean Crunch and Autumn Harvest..are yummy but have added sugar so aren't as healthy. I pretty much only eat (non-frosted) shredded wheat and Grape Nuts because they don't have added sugar. I eat them plain or with raisins and a little cinnamon, hot or cold. Sometimes I have oatmeal with raisins or bananas and cinnamon in the morning too. Occasionally I'll make homemade granola with just a little molasses for sweetening.

Autumn Harvest and the Cinnamon one are two of my favorites... the sugar content is not as high as 'sugar cereals' and having a bit of sugar in the morning (and throughout the day for that matter is not that big of a bad thing. Grape Nuts is a great cereal that gives it how it comes and somehow comes off tasting very good. Thanks Zelo

I think there are alot of good cereals you can eat. I like cheerios. I also like granola based cereals with flax and pumpkin seeds in them. shredded wheat is a good and healthy cereal. Also excellent are the hot cereals such as oatmeal and cream of wheat. I like most cereals and considr them to be healthy.

Cheerios are always a good choice as long as you don't add sugar to them and of course anything that has flax in it is a good choice for the health-concious person. Oatmeal should be a staple in anyone's diet who is working out! It is a must. It takes less than a minute to fix (about the same time as getting the milk out of the fridge) and is very good for you. Thanks Zelo

That cereal tastes disgusting. It's very HEALTHY though. I prefer eating Kelloggs Frosted Mini Wheat. I think it tastes better and is healthy as well.

I actually found a KASHI cereal that is really good... it is Kashi Cinnamon Squares or something of the sort and it is very good and very good for you (of course, it's Kashi). Some of the other stuff they have out there does taste like you are eating cardboard but is very good for you Thanks Zelo

In my opinion, any cereal is healthier than greasy sausage, bacon, eggs, etc. But that's me. Don't get me wrong, I love a big breakfast once in awhile with bacon, eggs, biscuits, the works. But cereal of any kind to me is healthy, in moderation of course. I've never heard of Kashi, I have heard about Grape Nuts, and a few others that I don't think are as tasty as most others.

Grape Nuts is another great cereal to eat. If one is going to eat a 'big breakfast' you can sub the eggs for Egg Beaters (no cholestoral) and sub bacon for turkey bacon... remember it is still going to be much higher in fat even though it is not pork which I personally don't eat. Thanks Zelo

I usually prefer sugar cereals but Kashi is the only healthy cereal that I like. there are a few varieties of Kashi, I've only tasted 2 kinds but both were good. Other healthy cereals that I recommend is Raisin Bran, Special K or Cheerios.

Totally agreed. Just remember when picking a Rain Bran not to get one that is too high in sugar content and with the others not to actually add sugar to the cereals (defeating the purpose of eating a healthy cereal in the first place). Thanks Zelo

"Kashi" Cereal ? Well; I am hearing it for the first time . I normally prefer Oatmeals or Corn / Wheat Flakes for my Breakfast .

Kashi is the #1 brand of cereals that are certified 'organic'. They now have many different kinds with the 7-grain being the staple (and the least tasty in my opinion). I also believe they are owned by Kelloggs but again I would be wrong on that. Thanks Zelo

Special K is very good and so is Smart Start. Both of them actually taste good too. Kashi is very healthy but it doesn't taste very good. Kashi and Friends isn't that bad but a lot of the different flavors are really bland...

I have eaten Special K and love it with some banana or strawberries. In fact I think it COMES in strawberry flavor now.

Special K is very low in fat, and Vector has alot of carbs for athletes.

Yeah i dont know about that one but Australia has heaps of healthy cereals available if you know what to look for. the healthiest would be weet-bix, weetie bites, cornflakes, just right, all bran, special K, fibre plus.
