Possessiveness in friendship .... !!

There has been occasions when i get possessive about my friends ... and therefore people take it differently !! I thought that you become possessive for people you care for. Please tell me .. Is possessiveness bad ??

possessiveness is not bad.. untill and unless you become over possessive and the other person does not like it.. everyone should be given their share of space.. dont become an intruder untill and unless someone actually gives you a charge of his/her life.
