They were making a comparisom to John wayne and some of the more manly men in comparissom to the men now.I would rather see men without makeup myself. I have to agree with you.

No I don't think so In history there were periods when it was fashionable to to be effeminate. One examples are the "fops" in the English Elizabethan age.

I was reading an article that says that men are buying more beauty products, like mascara and other things like that. It had increased because of gothic trends as well as others.
