The story is about the Elric brothers, Edward and Alfons that have tried to revive their mother using the forbidden alchemy but they failed to do so. They created a monster, a homunculi. Alfons' body was taken by the so called GATE, while Edward was fine. But when he saw his brother was taken by the gate, he sacrficied his arm and leg to bring him back. But in the end he only managed to transfer his body in an armour suit. In order to redeem their mistake to went to the Capital and applied for the Alchemist entrance examination. Edward the eldest passed the qualification and their journey to find the a way to bring their bodies back to normal. This story shows the love for a brother, that the other can sacrifice his life for his brother. Can you sacrifice you life for your brother or do you despise you brother?
