Do You Have Any Low Carb Dieting Tips?

I've done various types of low carb dieting over the past few years and I really think it works well when I stick to it. I'd love to know if anyone else has tried it and what your best tips or advice would be for someone trying to make it work and lose weight? What types of foods do you snack on? Do you have a favorite meal? Please share because I can use all the help anyone has to offer. Thanks!

My husband has done a low carb diet for years. Here are some tips, make sure you never lower your carbs TOO much, you need a certain number of carbs to maintain a healthy lifestyle. check with your doctor to determine your specific needs. Also,some good snacks, pistachios are great, any kind of nuts. My husband loved to eat just plain peanut butter. also, if you take some heavy whipping cream and some sugar free chocolate syrup, you can whip it together with a beater until it peaks, and it's great mousse, and very low carb. Also, Whipped cream is a great snack if you have a sweet tooth, as it has very little sugar. What out for hidden carbs that you don't think about.. certain coffees, and even eggs have carbs so be careful. My favorite meal that is low carb has to be spaggetti, using a spaggeti squash, it's delicious. Also, My hubby would buy the low carb tortillas and I would make him tacos or burritos and anything really, he also used them to make sandwhiches with. Good luck to you and remember not to go too low on your carb intake. I think that is what alot of people do, thinking they will lose wieght quicker, but usually you end up cheating or binging b/c your blood sugar is so low.

I did the low-carb diet for about two years, and I learned a lot of tricks and tips. One big thing, and if you love sweets like I do, you're not gonna want to hear this: go ahead and try to give up all sweets and artificially sweetened snacks. Just try to get over that sweet craving altogether. That one thing helped me more than anything else. Also, if you're craving something with carbs, go ahead and give in every now and then with something healthy, like high-fiber bread or cereal. Then start over again, and don't give up!
