Did saddam hussein deserve to be hanged?

Honestly, I didn't follow the trial that they had here in the US for him, however, I will say anyone that kills people for no real reason deserve to be killed also....

well..this is a much debatable topic and there has been much ado about this recently.. but i personally feel that this is the right kind of punishment for people like him!! the numerous atrocities he has caused many people is unimaginable..!!

i think he got everything he deserved. he terrorized his country for years.

i don't think he was given a fair trial....i think he shouldn't be hanged...instead of hanging he could hve been given lifr imprisonment(spl?).......i think the no. of people he had killed during his time are far less than the ppl who hve got killed after iraq invasion by bush govt. i think bush should also be hanged....right now i cann't see any diff. between hitler n bush.....

hi there, it's sort of a sensitive issue cuz if you wish to judge it don't ever just trust to the news especially uncle sam's friends media. you have to look overall of it.i think you can find it by your own but it's obviously the late saddam been hanged for the murder charged in dujail and one another place in Iraq. but do you know why he killed them? it's because those people in dujail tried too kill him first. if you are in his position what should you do? are you going to kiss those persons who tried to kill you?

As dictatorship Saddam fulfilled his vows. As duty Bush done his disciplined job through legal.

Yes, he was a brutal dictator and deserved to be hanged. But the world is full of brutal dictators and most of them won't be executed.

Saddam had to be punished for all of his crimes. However, the biggest mistake made by the Iraqis was that they released the video. If you ask any Muslim, they will tell you that it was wrong to suddenly open the trap door while Saddam was still chanting the Muslim Shahadah (the declaration of Faith). Therefore, some Muslims got sympathy for Saddam because he was not able to fully finish the Shahadah. Still, I believe that for his crimes, he should have been punished.
