Being wise is to be able to put the accumulated knowledge to good use and get all the benefits from it. In the olden days, people may have limited knowledge compared to us today but they are wise enough to put into good use. Thus the start of so many inventions and discoveries. If people of today can use our knowledge for the benefit of our lives and our planet, we are also wise. It takes great amount of knowledge to do a nuclear researh but if a person doing it will only use to do develop a bomb, there is no wisdom in that. That will be absolute foolishness. So who is wiser, both are wise.
