Saddam hussain was a kind person or not

He was a good horseman, so he couldn't be all bad. I think he was very close to his family and the way he was executed was horrendous. I think in his own warped way, he thought he was doing the best thing for his country. I'm not defending his action, we was an evil dictator and the genocide he initiated and performed was unforgivable. To be a really great leader of his people, he should have led all his people, not just his own religion instead of killing off dissients and people who didn't believe the same thing as him. But he was a human being and he didn't deserve to die the way he did.
