When you eat out do you leave a tip?

Many who work in Restaurants depend on good tips. What is a good tip? Do you leave a Tip?

In small restaurants there is tip system. In medium restaurants, tip is not compulsory. In big resturants (Three star to Five star) 10% of the total bill is tip payable.

I always leave a 20% tip at restaurants. I know they depend on tips as part of their earnings. The service has to horrible for me not to leave a tip.

I live in Rockport MA. Rockport is a fishing and lobstering town. It is a summer vacations spot. There is a Restaurant here with beautiful ocean views. It's called MY PLACE BY THE SEA. It's a gourmet restaurant. The waiters and waitresses make $2000. a week in tips. One waitress I spoke to said "This weekend I made enough money to pay my month's rent.

YES SOMETIMES. WHEN I GO TO A RESTAURANTS IF I FEEL THAT I AM BEING LOOKED AFTER WELL BY THE STAFF THEN I LEAVE A TIP OTHERWISE NOT.
