when you are in a relationship, when do you think is the right time for you to slide a ring onto your girlfriend's finger?

The right time for an engagement ring would be when you are settled down and u know you are ready to start a family...

i believe it is a state of the mind. whenever you feel that you are emotionally and psychologically ready to commit yourself to a lifetime commitment. then that is the proper time to ask for her hand. just make sure she says "yes"! and the ring will slide onto that finger. =)
