hi parnall! I'm a newly grad of medical transciption training last october 2006. I'm on a media/broadcast now with a company which is also a BPO. If you want to venture in a medical transcription business first you must be aware of all medical jargons and known the anatomy of human body, diseases and cures same with medicines my advice take a short term course it will help you a lot. Then if you are ready find a client a clinic or some private doctors to transcibe all thier medical data but I know you have to install some materials in your computer in able to work properly. hope this help. cheers and welcome to myLot!

I don't necesarily have to get into med transcription, just wnat the transcription end of it all, mostly thinkin and the work from home. This is what I do alot of at the job that I have now, just no certification, and finding no one else wants to hire without certification. How did you come across the media co you are currently with. Do ALL co's require certification?
