Has it happened to you that you searched a topic in mylot trying to make sure there are no similar discussions and it replied no results yet a day later there's an older discussion than yours that shows up? Is it still going to be taken out even if you did a searched and you didn't mean to have a similar post listed?

I've had similar happen to me. Actually I did the search, nothing showed and then I posted it. Below the post were similar discussions and one was very similar. It wasn't removed at all so I don't think you have to worry about that. Not sure why the search does that but I would have to think it's because of interests and keywords they are put under. I saw one on religion the other day that was under cats. It had nothing to do with cats at all so why it was there is anyone's guess. So I think that is why many don't show up when we do our searches.

I guess you can be right too. But wouldn't a search all in mylot be everything in mylot? Oh well.. :)

Yes. it sometimes happen. the only satisfaction there is for you to see that there is no similarity in choice of words and arrangement.

Well, the topic was similar or about the same thing but everything in it were original for both. I mean it wasnt at all copied or anything. Just worries me sometimes because I do make a search and alot of people make a big deal about it here when there are similar discussions with theirs. I just wanted to be clear that it was totally unintentional to make a similar topic.

Oh Yeah. This happens many times. You start a new topic and after 15 minutes you see atleast 2-3 discussions starting on same topic.

Well, in that case, you started the topic then and the other 2-3 are just either didnt searched mylot first or also didn't see a result of similar posts.
