When I'm fixing up my house I usually prefer to use paint. There's so much more you can do with paint, like rag-rolling different colors on top, stenciling areas and such. I also like to use wallpaper borders, in some rooms, at the top for a different look. I almost always go with a washable paint, always have since my children were little. I found that with wallpaper, you can never really clean it, and with having oil heat in the house it does need cleaned more often.

Blondetruly, you should try it if you'd like to. It really isn't that hard, and it comes out SO pretty! One thing I like to do with stencils is set it on the wall, take a little drywall compound (on a spatula or something flat) and drag it over the top of the stencil lightly. If you carefully peel the stencil off, straight away from it, you will have a raised design of the stencil on the wall. Once it's dry and you roll paint on the wall it looks really sharp. People always go hey, how'd you do that?! Have fun with it, and practice on a piece of cardboard or something first. It's fun!!!!

I prefer paint. I love wallpaper but they are hard to take it down when I change my mind about the design. I stick with paint from now on.

have you tried wallpaper remover?

Don't buy wallpaper remover-the pros use vinegar water and it works great! Just spray and let it soak and it comes right off, scrap the glue off then. Make sure you rip the top layer off if it doesn't soak through, that's how my wallpaper is that I am taking off right now.

I'm definitely into painting. I just painted my diningroom and repainted a "accent wall" in my living room.
