I live in Michigan and people here are very impatient when driving. Sometimes I think they just don't care if they hit someone or not. Is this the way it is everywhere or is that just a Michigan thing?

Sweetie, you gotta get out of the state... I used to live in Michigan, and it's pretty mild compared to other places... like JERSEY, around Chicago... Even in Boulder, Colorado.. some of the WORST drivers I have ever seen...

There are plenty of places in the world where drivers to be are always instructed to practice safe driving. They are called defensive drivers rather than offensive ones. Drivers are supposedly, to be always mindful of the pedestrians and be cautious of the movements of their fellow drivers to avoid the occurrence of any accident. Maybe, it will be good if you'd bring your observation to the authorities. Your input can make a world of attitudinal driving difference in Michigan.

the authorities here don't care. They only care about lining the policitan's pockets and cut the police force. That is why idiots get away with driving stupid is because there is never a cop around.

I don't think it's just Michigan, you'll find it in Iowa too ... pretty much where ever you find dumb people you will find dumb drivers. People think that they need to do everything in such a hurry and they don't think of the consequences of putting other people in danger. Once you have kids I think you're forced to slow down and consider what really is at stake.
