The news is full of depressing information, so it seems as the world is just a depressing place to be. With so many things out there that are depressing, what depresses you the most and why?

the news itself is the most depressing thing I have seen, or maybe I should say that the presentation of it is. The networks and newspapers are biased to one side or the other. Politics control our worlds, and it doesn't take long to tag a newspaper or the nightly news broadcasts one way or the other. They own the information, so they can twist it any way the see fit. Why cant someone just tell what happened without adding their own agendas to it???

What depresses me the most is seeing the elderly left behind in nursing homes, with very little connection to the outside world. Especially depressing is when family members do not take the time to visit them, or only come at the holidays. Makes me glad that I am there for them every day!

One of my closest friends in going through a bout of depression. It seems like he is stuck in a big bucket of mud and can't get out of it. That's pretty much the only way I can think to describe it. At first I really pushed him to try and get out of the mood he was in but that didn't do much and at times it seemed like it made it worse. Now I let him know that I am there for him if he needs it and that my mobile phone is always on in case he wants or needs to talk. So I guess the thing I find most depressing is depression.

Depression is a tough one, especially for people that don't understand it. There are many people who don't realize that it's an illness, and not just something you can 'snap out of'. You've done the best that you can. He knows you're there, so when he's ready to talk, he'll talk. Though, he might prefer to talk to a stranger (counselor, etc.) so you could mention that some time. You could even offer to go with him, if he would like you to.

The most depressing thing which I have ever seen in my life was tears in the eys of the girl whome I love alot. She doesn't love me but yet my love for increase day by day. She was crying when her final exams results was not as she was expecting. She was expecting mince percentage and on that moment if I got one wish to be fulfilled I gave mine percentage to her.

If that's the most depressing thing you've ever seen, then you've had a nice life, and I hope that the rest of it stays that way for ya.

I feel depressed when i see childrens who are begging for food and money in trains and buses, the pity is parents are tempting and teaching these children to do this.

Yes, that is depressing. I've not seen it myself, but it is depressing to see on TV and to read about in the paper. Makes you feel grateful for what you have.

Well, sometimes its unavoidable that we feel depressed for the day..but for the health its not a good side, i believe in Meditation which will balance our mind and helps to be normal at situations
