Beauty Pageants...

I agree. What's the purpose of the pageants now-adays? We see enough model-like women all the time that it seems dumb to have to crown one of them. Personally I'd like to club them instead, but that's besides the point. I think that women do this for attention, and unfortunately, they get it. They don't seem to have male pageants and male swimsuit issues. I think it's because us women know that it's stupid and useless. But some will do anything for attention or a quick buck. My question is, have any of the winners actually done what they said that they were going to do?

I don't know that they degrade women. They do, however, seem irrelevant and outdated.

i think beauty its not from the the outside appearance, but more from the iner and heart. sweet talking to answer question at the pageants does not compare what mother teresa have had achieve. i think i adore mother teresa more:P
