I am pretty much indifferent to god. I don't have the answer and I do not believe anyone else does either. I think our purpose in this world is to do everything we can do to ease the suffering of others and to do no harm.

yeah , , i strongly believe and have faith in God , , as we all know , , he created the Heavens and the Earth , , he put us here in His own image to take care of everything that he had created and of course to worship Him , , would you even believe that our status is higher than those of the angels? , , man you gotta read the book "The Purpose Driven Life" it's a nice book i tell you ,, :-) if you want you , can give your e-mail add and i'll send an e-book to you ,, üüü

Of course I do. We are here for a reason. We just have to find that out for ourselves. Every person have his/her own mission in life. That's what I believe.

As Kurt Vonnegut said once in a speech at my alma mater: "We are all just here to fart around." I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble, but life is ultimately empty and fleeting and devoid of purpose. I believe that God is what you make it. One person's God is completely different from another and is very helpful in giving people a sense of some higher purpose in life. But cold hard facts, shown us by such occurrences as 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina and the Indian Ocean Tsunami, there is no God at all. If so, where waas he for all those helpless people. Nature does not favor humans over any other of Earth's creatures. To place your faith outside of the realms of the things which you can control (i.e. breath, posture, attitude, mental and physical health), is not to live for the sake of living. And that's the point of it all - just enjoy your life while you are here for it is precious and should not be taken lightly. But remember that ultimately Vonnegut was sadly right in that we are just here to fart around. That's just my opinion and I don't expect anyone to agree with me or not. On the other hand perhaps I have openened someone's eyes to reality, as cold and as harsh as it may be.
