Does anyone here watch anime? If yes, then the next question for you, would be how you came to be familiar with it. do you like it? if yes, name a few that you like ( im done with a huge collection of my own and am running out of anime to watch). if no, again, give a reason. which language do you watch it in (yes, that is a choice as well, i watch anime in japanese) those were for the people who know something about anime. now for the people who are unfamiliar with the term, or what anime is as such, anime is the japanese style of animation, which is taking the world by storm. If you see it, even if you are unfamiliar with the term 'anime' you will know it's anime. it's very distinct. a few examples would be Dragon ball z, flame of recca, karas, the getbackers. the list goes on.... but it gives you an idea of what anime is. i've been watching anime for years now, am a member of quite a few communities, also a club which promotes anime. was just curious to know just how popular it is HERE. if anyone is interested in anime, there are links to get anime on the net, also , it has an entire channel devoted to it, if you want to watch it in english only. the reason i watch it in japanese is because the voice overs are much better in japanese than in english, except for a few exceptions (dragon ball z, cowboy bebop). one of the most popular anime's around right now, or for the past couple of years, has been NARUTO, and the new episodes are to start soon. like i said, one can get links to it on the net, and one can download it, but the thing is, those will be in japanese. it's for a select crowd only, because most don't seem to like it (they are fansubbed, don't worry, you need not follow japanese) and want it in english. if that be the case, then you have anime on t.v. just google anime, and check what channel anime is on, and at what slot. you also have a channel devoted to anime (kind of like cartoon network) called animax, but it's not available everywhere. anime focuses on character development. extremely convoluted characters. that is something unique to anime. the distinct style, and the special focus on it's characters. i think that's enough of an intro. if interested about anime, please post your question and i shall try my best to answer. if you are looking for links, for downloads, pm me and i shall try to provide a few. be warned, all anime on the net is japanese ( whixch is a good thing) and not in english. you have it with subtitles, but for some reason , people are not comfortable watching it ...... initially. so for those who are still interested, look for animax. please for those who have lost track of what i had asked earlier, if you have seen anime, please post the ones you have in this discussion. do give a brief intro if you can, or atleast rate it and explain which genre it belongs to. thank you.

make your posts as politically correct as you can. happened to me four times before i realized what the hell was happening. sometimes, something in your post might account as offensive, to, uhm, some people that my lot seems to have a psychic link to, and they have an automatic system that does not allow the post to get posted. so try to get your posts as round as possible. no edgy stuff, get it.

i like a lot anime, i started seeing it as a child, in my country (ecuador) there were two very popular series when i was a kid - teenager, the one is captain tsubasa (supercampeones in spanish) and dragon ball, that's when i started to like that kind of genre, and know i like it a lot, altought i don't see it too much, from time to time is very relaxing to see it
