I just got thru watching THE DESCENT for the first time. It was ok, but not what I expected. I really like horror and suspense films and I was so excited about this one. When I saw the movie trailers, it scared me to death! But, as I watched it, it really wasn't that scary. It started slow, but picked up pretty quick. It was ok...I would rate it 3 stars out of 5.
The premise is a group of women go on a caving expedition and are hunted by underground flesh eating creatures. It's pretty freaky, but not the greatest movie.
Anyone else see it? What did you think?

I thought it was great (and I rarely say that about any of the modern horror movies). Now it depends which version you saw. The US version has the remaining girl getting away in the car whereas the original UK version actually shows her still stuck in the cave at the end (she just imagined escaping)

I saw it a few weeks ago. It wasn't what I expected either. I had heard about it and everyone was saying how good it was and very suspenseful. I really didn't think it was all that great. It was ok but thats about it.

yep i agree...only rated it a 3 out of 5 because of the makeup...i thought that was pretty good. the plot and all wasn't that great

The decent wasn't a very good movie in my book. The action wasn't terrible, but it wasn't absolutly thrilling. The ending left a lot of holes in the plot line too.

I agree! what the heck was that ending??!! Her imagination or what? WIERD! But, I thought the makeup was really good so that is why I say 3 stars. :)

I haven't watched The Descent yet but seems to be a good horror movie to watch, in imdb it has 7.3 rating out of 10 and good user reviews in imdb.
I think I will be watching The Descent pretty soon, I will see if get this movie in torrent ...
