Some of them can be. Like Tyra Banks. I know she gives pretty good advices especially when it comes to self-image of a person in her show. And she's not the typical supermodel.

to an extent but not much at all cos no one can be that thin like a twig normal people will fall sick if they try to imitate them they are professionals and kno what is good and what is not
