Are you saving for your childrens future? I have been saving now for about a year and have over a thousand dollars saved up for my son's future and I am worried about putting it into a trust fund. Yes the interest would help the total to grow but if I were to put it into a collage trust then if he does not go to collage he will never be able to access it. What should I do?

Did you go to collage or a university? I did not and I am not about to force my child to go to one. Which is why I am confused. Tes I have had a hard time of it because I don;t have the quailfications that other people have but I have found a job that will support my family and my self. No collage involved. There are many people that I work with that have been to collage and have degrees that do them no good working where we do. To me their time and money spent on collage was a waste. I know one guy in particluar that has a BS in history that has, as he put it, " A $40,000.00 piece of paper on his wall". Just think of what he could have done with that money.
