When I was younger, whenever I wanted something, I would go for it and get it. Now, I have others to think about. I have kids and a husband and I have to measure my desires with what is best for the whole family. My biggest desire is to go back to theater, but I really cant do that now with a family and so Id have to say that "no" is the answer. But other tasks that really do not affect my family, Id say, yes.

So essentially your conscience will not alow you to go against the family's intersts? Thanks for your response!

It depends on what I want and when I want it.
If its really way beyond importance, I will try to reach it.

I do not think anything would stop me except getting hurt in the process and not being able to go on.

whatever i have wanted and i have known that i can get it then nothing was able to stop me from getting that thing.
like i know i can reach 30$ in january and i have been constantly posting responses so that i can reach b4 january ends.
i like to give my full efforts to accomplish the thing that i have desired.
so the only thing which can stop me is myself and nothing else.
nice to know that u r like me in the thought process.
have a nice day.

Wanting something is different from needing something. A lot of things can stop me from getting what I want, conscience of course and my loved ones. Specially if what I want is just a reflection of selfishness or in order to get what I want I'd have to trample on to someone else or to get that you have to bring another person down. In that case even if you got what you wanted you'll just ask yourself was it worth it?
